IMPORTANCE OF TONER IN YOUR DAILY SKIN CARE REGIME

Toner is basically a water based liquid which helps remove excess oil, dirt and gunk from your skin. We ladies often miss out on this step of applying toner but it should be an indispensable step in your skin care routine. You get various toners in the market that suit different skin types. I have heard many people talk about not using a toner for dry skin as it may irritate the skin and cause redness. I used to think the same way until I found out that there are a ton of toners available in the market that have been made especially for sensitive & dry skin. They are really hydrating and moisturizing. For oily skin type, I would recommend you choose a refreshing and gentle type toner. Combination skin type can go with either of the above, depending on what suits the skin!

Why is Toner so necessary?

  • It helps to shrink large pores. A lot of women suffer from large pores especially on the nose and cheeks area and toner reduces the appearance of pores and over time shrinks them!
  • Toner helps maintain the pH Balance of the skin.
  • It adds a layer of protection. We always need to protect our skin from the harmful effects of pollution, dirt and dust that is all around us. We do apply moisturizers and sunscreens for the same but a toner will not only protect your skin, but it will also replenish it from within over a period of time.
  • It refreshes skin. Toner helps the skin to feel hydrated and lively that helps improve the texture of the skin.
  • Toner gives your skin that glow we all crave for.

When to use a Toner?

Toner should be applied on bare skin, right after you wash your face before applying any serum, cream or facial mist.

How often to use a Toner?

Each time you wash your face.

**Please leave any doubts or questions you have regarding toner in the comments section below and I'll be more than happy to answer them. Also, let me know if you want me to review any specific product on my blog and I will bring that up soon.

Thank you !! :)
