THE 5 STEP SKIN CLEANSING GUIDE

  • Wash your face

Like we all know, washing our face is the first and foremost step of any skin care regime. However, many of us fail to understand and choose the correct face wash. Every skin type is different, thus requiring different products. Selecting the right face wash is pivotal. For dry skin type, a creamy face wash is preferred. For combination skin type, a creamy or light foaming face wash is recommended. For oily skin, a foaming face wash is befitting, preferably a one with Neem.
The number of times you wash your face completely depends on your skin type. However, you should never exceed 2-3 times a day.

  • Scrub your face

I would recommend that you scrub your face at least once a week but never more than thrice. Excess scrubbing can cause redness, irritation, rashes and other skin problems. Scrubbing is a must for any skin type. It helps to open up the pores and clear any oil or dirt that did not get off with the face wash.

  • Mask

This can be done once a week or once in 2 weeks, depending upon your preference. Some people prefer a home made mask while some prefer to purchase the masks from stores. Either way is fine, whatever suits you and works for you. Applying a mask helps to maintain a nourishing, clean and healthy skin condition.
  • Toner

Majority of the people skip this step since they fail to understand the importance of it. Toner isn't just for oily skin type. It is equally crucial for dry, combination and normal skin types. A toner helps remove traces of oil and dirt from the skin. It clears skin pores, maintains a balance in the pH level of skin, refreshes skin and adds a protective layer to save the skin from free radicals.

  • Moisturizer

This is the probably the last but most important step in your skin care regime. Never forget to moisturize your skin at least twice a day (depending upon your skin type). This is a very important step for all skin types. Usually, it is suitable to use a light-weight moisturizer during the day and a heavy moisturizer at night. Moisturizing should never be skipped as it helps to lock in all the benefits your skin received from the previous 4 steps. it helps to keep the skin younger looking and healthy.

BIODERMA MAKE UP REMOVING MICELLAR WATER

Today I'll be reviewing the Bioderma Micellar Water. I am sure many of you out there already rave about this product. And why not? It really is amazing. The first time I used this product, I fell in love with it. It is probably the most gentle and effectual make up remover for sensitive skin that I have ever come across. It suits all skin types.

It comes in 3 sizes.

How To Use?
  • Soak a cotton pad with the Bioderma Micellar Water.

  • Gently cleanse make up from face, eyes and lips.

  • Re - apply until cotton pad comes clean.

  • Wash your face with face wash. (This step is optional. I personally like to do it to make sure I don't have any trace of make up left on my skin)
